Main Responsibilities

  • Planning and organizing electrical and instrumentation maintenance work with operations and other departments
  • Purchasing and sourcing necessary equipment for carrying out maintenance work
  • Scheduling work for electrical and instrumentation service
  • Managing and assigning work orders to ensure that necessary maintenance takes place for provision of efficient and operational machinery
  • Coordinate and plan with other personnel, including planner to schedule and assign the work to the maintenance crew
  • Assign the work and coordinate the plan with the tradesman for ensuring that the employees have the requisite tools and equipment for executing the job
  • Recognize issues that arise in evening and night shift and troubleshoot for making the machinery operational and efficient
  • Ensuring that all the rules and principles relating to company policies, rules, safety policies, environmental norms and legal norms are adhered by the employees
  • Ensuring the safety, food safety and environmental programs are adhered while executing the maintenance work
  • Coordinate manpower, create work schedules and monitor employees while work is executed
  • Establish KPI’s and strive to improve KPI’s through higher productivity and quicker turnaround time
  • Approving the time off and track the scheduling point to ensure proper coverage is available
  • Involved with calibrations and certifications to ensure that the machinery is duly calibrated and certified before use
  • Engaging in safety meetings with crew and training on safety issues
  • Any and all other activities as and when required

Qualifications and Experiences Required

  • Journey Man Electrician or Electrical Engineer with FSR Certification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of working in supervisory position and managing in a unionized environment
  • Computer proficient
  • Good English (spoken & written)
  • Good interpersonal and communicating skills
  • Good planning and organizing skills
  • Sound mechanical skills
  • Able to interface with diverse personalities
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Good knowledge of instrumentation, controls and high voltage equipment and maintenance
  • Good knowledge of supervisory work in a unionized environment
  • Knowledge of carrying out maintenance in industrial and construction sites
  • Good with Microsoft Office and computer programs
  • Physically fit to climb, crouch and walk for long hours
  • Able to work at heights
  • Organized, problem solver, collaborative
