Process Engineer

Job Summary

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Process Engineer will provide technical support to the operations to proactively identify process improvements that could be implemented within the Montreal refinery to reduce costs, improve efficiency and/or increase sugar recovery. Besides ensuring continuous improvement in day-to-day operations, the incumbent will, with the help of the management team, develop and propose capital expenditures that would be required to support these improvements and provide project management. He will work closely with the team to manage performance indicators, particularly regarding the performance of packaging equipment and the performance of bulk and liquid loads. He will also work closely with the maintenance department: validating the maintenance work priorities during planned shutdowns in collaboration with the supervisors, maintaining the work orders performed by the supervisors and acting as technical support. This position will also support the engineering department for the benefit of the packaging and finished products: validation of concepts/ layouts/schedules, providing specific data (operation statistics) and confirming their accuracy with all stakeholders involved.
