Job Summary
The Supervisor (Maintenance) is responsible to ensure that the machinery and equipment in the Vancouver Refinery is operational and running efficiently. The incumbent leads and guides a team of unionized employees for achieving the desired motive, in consonance with the company policies, rules, collective agreement, safety policies, legal constraints, and environmental norms.

Main Responsibilities
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO :
- Planning and organizing maintenance work with operations and other departments
- Managing and assigning work orders to ensure that necessary maintenance takes place
- Coordinate and plan with other personnel, including planner to schedule and assign the work to the maintenance crew
- Assign the work and coordinate the plan with the tradesman for ensuring that the employees have the requisite tools and equipment
- Recognize issues that arise in evening and night shift and troubleshoot
- Ensuring that all the rules and principles relating to company policies, rules, safety policies, environmental norms, and legal norms are adhered by the employees
- Coaching and training employees on food safety, protocols and protection procedure.
- Liaison between the administrative staff and union employees
Qualifications and Experiences Required
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO JOIN THE TEAM :
- Red seal Trade Certificate in Mechanical Trade such as Welder, Millwright or related work experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience or working in supervisory position
- Work in a unionized environment (an asset)
- English (spoken & written)
- Computer proficient and Microsoft office
- Good knowledge of maintenance equipment, food processing and safety
- Team player and leadership skills
- Good planning and organizing skills
